Called USCIS to find out the status of the EAD and after being on the phone almost 1.5 hours, most of the time on hold, I was told it was approved, but they wont send the card because they don't have fingerprints. We never got a letter for fingerprints. Woman on the phone told me to call back the 800 number and schedule a fingerprint appointment . Called back again and another women told me I can't schedule an appointment over the phone, told me to call an Immigration officer again and see what they can do. Lost my paitence, I'll call back tomorrow. I also never received an NOA for the fingerprints when they cashed the check, I got the NOA's for the I-485, I-131 and I-765. Is this also the appointment letter?

Frustrated enought to scream right now!!!!

I think you should go personally to the local INS office to tell about the situation, I don't know if where you are at they accept walk-ins, here they don't....so make an appointment through infopoint.

At the same time I would write a letter, explaining the situation, and mailing via express with return receipt to the office processing your EAD application.....it seems that now they don't do appointment for fingerprints anymore by phone, usually they send a letter, but apparently you never got it!

Good luck!

I would try just going to the local office...may save you a lot of headaches over the phone.
