Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I filed back in February and we received our NOA1 dated on the 28th of February. On july 28th my fiance called USCIS and he was told they would process a Service Request on our case and that we were to wait 60 days for a response. The formal email came on August 9th stating the same thing. We haven't contacted his Senator or Congressman out of fear of it only delaying our case more. Last week my fiance came to visit me for his birthday and here we discussed what we should do after we called USCIS. They said that it was past processing times but that the good news were we wouldn't receive an RFE (which I dont believe). They suggested he go to his local office in NY to speak to an immigration officer. Today he went to the infopass appointment and it was useless. They told him the same thing. We need to wait until October 28th to hear from them. :crying:

The last couple of months have been a disaster for us. We cant discuss our case with USCIS because it always turns into a fight. I check VJ everyday and I see people who filed after us getting approved in as little as under 4months. Im not saying we should have priority and Im happy its easier and smoother for other couples but I would like advice as to what to do. Everyday is a waiting game and Ive noticed its all I think about. My fiance is scared to talk about it with me because he says theres always a negative outcome. Our relationship is suffering from the strain of waiting. What should we do? :(:help:

Thank you guys! My fiance is contacting his senator. I just have a quick question. My fiance was born in Miami. Currently living in NY for school. But when we sent the packet it was with a Boston address because thats where he was living at the time. Which states congressman/senator does he contact?
