If embassy does not issue visa within this period of time I129F approval expires. However, you can always e-mail the embassy and ask for extension if there is some reasonable delay. In this case they will grant it. However, if they deny the K1 visa, I129F automatically expires on that date.

So, in other words, this is for THEM to follow thru? One they receive the package from the beneficiary (within this period) they must assign an interview before the date expires?

I'd hate to be held accountable for missing a deadline if we were responsible enough to finalize our responsibilities in the alloted time.

Don't ever do anything you're not willing to explain the paramedics.

Yes. As long as they are in the process you are OK. If they deny, then this is a mechanism to expire the approval.

I'm sure this dead horse has been beaten over and over again, however, I will ask yet again: What does the expiration date on the NOA2 really means?

You mean expiration of APPROVAL NOTICE not "NOA2".
