Hello all, I've been checking in over the last few months prior to applying to the K1 visa. This is a very informative site & I'm happy to join. This is my first post & I'm starting off with a good one. :o

So, my fiance works & lives in Dubai, UAE but is from the Phillippines. I submitted the application mid June & got NOA1 in the end of June. I recently took a trip to visit her again after going 5 months of not seeing eachother.

Long story short, there is very good chance she is pregnant. For those who don't know, it is illegal to be pregnant in Dubai if your not married. I'm sure she can stay there for awhile without being detected but the problem is our visa application. We we're wondering in case she is able to stay there until the visa is approved & when she goes to the medical exam if they test for pregnancy? If so, since it's a medical exam for the US will they report her pregnancy to the dubai goverment? I'm wondering because if she is able to stay until the visa is approved she might have to disclose the fact that she is pregnant to the doctor to avoid certain vaccinations or have xray shielding.

Second, if she does have to go home & we have to transfer the visa to her address in the Philippines, how does this work? Will this delay the visa or be a problem. Our concern is that if its delayed, it will be too late into her pregnancy to fly. Any idea of time frames etc?

Lastly, what are the chances they will expedite the visa due to pregnancy?

Thank you so much.

:)

If you have to transfer from one embassy to another of course there is delay, they have to mail all your stuff it can be a few weeks to a few months delay.

As Ryan said -

There is no expedite because of pregnancy.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

A few months??? From my perspective, I wouldn't think there would be such a long delay because we haven't reached NOA2 status so all the paperwork is still at the vermont center under review & should be just a simple address change. I would understand a slight delay seeing that it was after noa2 because everything would be in the process of being sent to the embassy abroad.

Anyone know anything I mentioned about dubai?

Like I said if its at the EMBASSY and you are transferring to another EMBASSY it can take a long time.

If you are going to change now and she is going to go back to the Phils now, it may not take that long. BUT this is USCIS, nothing is a simple change with them. You could call and request the change of interview place and they may still send it to Dubai in the end! Figure out if your doing Dubai or the Phils.
