Unbelievable..interview without FP but scheduled shortly

Hi Friends,

My N 400 journey is full of surprises. First I got FP- finger printing letter after 28 days that is almost the last day after the website was updated by USICS and I am scheduled for FP in first week of sep.

Now when I check the USCIS website it says that a interview is scheduled and a letter is mailed and i will get in 14 days the letter for interview with the date and time. Isn't it surprising. Anyone in the same situation. Any comments. Probably they want to do both at the same time or at short interval?

Not sure what you are trying to say, but yes - we are all getting status updates online with the same exact steps. I am still waiting on my interview letter status change. See my N-400 timeline for more details.

It's weird, and I'm actually jealous (see my timeline) if it is correct and true. Anything is possible, including a mistake on their side. I would call them and ask.

They would sometimes skip the FP part if your last Bio is less 1 year. I can't say I can prove it's why it was, but there are some filers here who were in the same boat like you.

It is not clear to me if this OP skipped the FP or not... the subject implies that there was no FP scheduled, but the message body mentions a FP letter...

That's what I thought initially, but the OP says they received a FP invitation.

Sometimes they skip FP if you had them less than 12 month, but to make sure call them, probably you will have your finger print taken while you are interviewing, it doesn't take to long to clear your FP. I had my Finger print at 3:30pm and same day i receive email that i am schedule for interview, but the Odd thing, is i am now a US Citizen but the status in USCIS website still showing testing and Interview :-).

As i said, call them to clear all question you have, this forum is only see others experience, and can't help you with you case.
