Hello everyone!

My fiance Daniel and I are waiting on Packet 4 and we're gathering what we need for our interview. We decided to get his IRS transcripts, and I had a few questions. If he goes that route, what else will he need? I think I read that he won't need his income tax returns or W2s because they're included in the transcripts, right? So he'll just need his employer and bank stuff?

Thanks so much for your time and any information. :)

Besides his letter of employment, he can also print out pay stubs for the last three pay periods.

Pretty much right. No tax returns, W2's, 1099's, or any other tax related forms are needed if you submit IRS transcripts. The letter of employment is always a good idea. Unless he's self-employed or using cash assets to qualify, he shouldn't need any bank statements. Diana's suggestion of pay stubs is also a good idea - it helps show that he's still employed and what his current income is.

Thanks so much for your replies. :)

Another question. We're using his father as our co-sponsor. His parents file jointly. Will the IRS transcripts show the both of them? Is it okay if they do or is there something else we need to get to just show his father's information? Thanks again!

Yes, the transcripts will list both taxpayers, but the income shown will be their combined income. You should include W2's, 1099's, or whatever is applicable to show the father's separate income.
