Hello Everyone,

I got my I-130 Visa last year in October, and at the airport, the US Immigration Official said, that since I have been married for at least a year now, I can get 1 year (during which the process was going though) counted as 1 of the 3 years as a PR.

Is that true, did anyone get their process year counted as 1 year being a PR while applying for Citizenship? Not sure, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Once you reach 3 year anniversary of your Green Card minus 90 days, you can apply for citizenship. Not sooner than that.

Please google and read the Naturalization guide - M476 - should be on uscis.gov.

... and there are social security clerks that will tell you that you can't get a SSN as a K-1 after you are married even if there is plenty of time remaining on your I-94. You can find ignorance in any workplace.
