I just joined and I'm sure I've already asked too many questions on this forum already:p

Anyways my husband and I are just trying to look at our options. I'm living in his country now and plan to stay at least the year. so, my husband has an opportunity to do an exchange program either in Europe or in the US. he's kind of prideful and is hesitant about doing any marriage visa stuff. We have been looking at possibilities in Europe only Bc we fear our marriage is a no-go for a US exchange. However, I'm curious if it is possible for him to be able to do this student exchange even though he's married to a USC. He is eligible for a very prestigious school and I know its his dream to attend, even if just for an exchange. So, is it allowed for him to obtain an exchange in the US?

There is no legal reason why your husband cannot apply for an exhange visa. However, it will be very very VERY difficult for him to obtain. If he wants to go to the US, marriage visa would be a better option

For an exchange or visitors visa he'll have to show ties to Egypt and proof he'll return to Egypt...difficult to do when he is married to a USC

Good luck
