Hi all,

I started to fill out the K1 visa late last year but put it on hold as wasn't too sure when my fiance would be coming home from Afghanistan.

Now we're back on the case, I came here and went to the USCIS website as well.

I noticed on the G-325a form I had (and also on the USCIS site) the expiration date for the form was June 30th 2011.

I also noticed on the fiance visa page on USCIS that the I-129f was the only form required.

Can someone please tell me if the G-325a form is still a requirement please?

Please see the guides they are extremely helpful. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

G-325 form is required.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

G-325 form is required.

Was my post even read?

1. I have read the guides, which is why I was posing the questions.

2. If you click the link via the guide the expiration of the pdf is for June 30th 2011.

I stated this in my original post. I know it's easy to simply refer someone to 'read the guides' but a read in someone's post will also be helpful.

I think this is a VERY valid questions considering we are in August and the form on the official USCIS government website is expired by 2 months.

If G-325 was OPTIONAL it would say optional beside it like the other form so states. IT IS NOT OPTIONAL.

The expiration date is still valid until they post a brand new form on USCIS website.

I read your post and answered your question with the guide and by so stating that it is required. Go ahead send the I-129F without it and get an RFE.

Did I say I was going to send it off without the form?

NO I DIDN'T!

Why didn't you state that in the first place if you read my thread regarding the expiration date?

Unlike some people I don't LIVE on this board.

Take into consideration many people are at different stages in their application process, and they last thing they need is straight up, blatant, rudeness.

Very easy for 'old-timers' to tell someone go look at x, y and z like that's helping. My initial question was VALID if you saw an expiration on a form would you just assume it was OK to complete spend $300+ and send off? No you wouldn't. You'd question it. Now unless the guide stated NEXT to the form that it had expired but was still OK to send off until updated then fine. It didn't.

I don't deal with matters regarding immigration, especially when it comes to US government rules & regulations.

Help thoroughly with someone's questions or don't bother help at all.

And that's as FINAL and CIVIL as I'll leave it.

Thank you

Funny. Well, the G-325A is still a required form though it appears there is no more current version than the one on the USCIS website that expires 6/30/11. The advice I read states that this version will still be accepted. I mean, what else can you and other people completing the form at this time do? I would just go ahead with this one.

It's ok to use an expired form if it hasn't been updated on USCIS website yet. You can always check the website to see what editions are accepted: USCIS forms.
