I-797C Botched Spouse's Name

Recommended Posts

I just received I-797C Notice of Action - "NOTICE TYPE: Receipt" (first piece of mail to come back after I sent out my I-130).

It says, "The I-130, petition for Alien Relative has been received by our office for the following beneficiaries and is in process:"

Then it shows my spouse's name, but instead of writing it fully as: Maria Elena (First Name) Solero(Father's Lastname) Vega(Mother's Lastname), they left out the second part of her first name

and just wrote, "Solero Vega, Maria"

I know that in Mexico, leaving out ANY names have been a big pain - so I'm kind of worried that this might not fly right.

Don't worry, it happened to all of us - they used just my middle intial in NOA1. That shouldn't be an issue, as it is their communication and not what you filled in.

Yea. Don't worry about it now...It can easily fixed by sending the beneficiary's biographic passport. Do this before you send your 3rd and 4th packet. My Wife's first name is MARIA DESAMIE. When i filed for I-130 i separated it... They fixed it when i sent them a copy of my wife's biographic passport...
