HI VJ! Just wanna ask few things about the I-134:

1. In answering Question 7, is it really necessary to place there the bank savings, personal property, stocks, life insurance, and cash surrender value? We thought that since my fiance's annual income is already 100K and thinking it over the poverty guidelines, we don't anymore need his bank statements thus he doesn't wanna go through that whole process of filing more documents other than the ITR, W'2, and Employment date record.

*** He is also thinking if life insurance is really necessary or can do w/o - he has tho. but like what I said he just want to just use his annula income as supported by the ITR, W'2 and Employment Data Record.

2. How do you really answer question 11 that will really be convincing. Is it necessary he also mention me as his beneficiary to be part of his life insurance ( or whatever you call it ). Plus he mentioned in it that he will have me share his checking account..does he need to mention how much it is that will be shared?

Thanks VJ's for the help extended

***pps...I poted this in a wrong forum and cant delete the previous one...I APOLOGIZE FOR THE MISTAKE :(

For question 7 - Im assuming its a finacial question. You only need to list what makes above the poverty line. If income alone does it, then no, you dont have to fill in the rest. Not everyone makes the poverty line, so they use their assests to get above it.

For question 11 - Im assuming its the how did you meet question. No you dont have to be detailed. Most of us have met online, so put, met online blah blah date, found we liked each other around this date, met in person on this date and this date and that date. Give the facts. They do allow for another peice of paper if you require more room, so if you want to give the entire story you could, but you dont have to.

There is no need for the other financial information if the petitioner exceeds the poverty guideline.

Don't risk the stink eye from the consular officer at the U.S. Embassy Manila...make sure to check "intend."

Here's what I wrote for question #11:

I love my fiancée and I intend to marry her within 90 days of her arrival in the U.S.A. I will provide for her room, board, and any other needs she may have in our married life together.
