Date I was put in AP = May 30, 2011

Today = August 02, 2011

Days Passed = 64

Some ppl say AP takes 6 weeks, COMPLETED

DOS website says on average it takes 60 days, COMPLETED

Consular officer at the time of interview said in my case it would take a maximum of 2 months, COMPLETED

All timelines keep on completing & still waiting for AP to be over. I've even resigned from my company & cannot stay at this place more than next 1.5 months.

Its a real test of patience

Sorry man I've been AP for 4 months. They said less than 90 days. Only today they responded to my e-mail saying my AP is complete and I can go for results.

Hang in there. I know the sickening feeling of like titanic sinking. Worst if you are in a different country away from your work place like me. All the best.

I know exactly how you feel. We were put in AP on May 26, 2011 so it has been 68 days for us. They told us pretty much the same thing. this is a horrible process.

Its a real test of patience

You might want to withdraw your resignation until such time as you get VISA in hand. What if God forbid it takes another year or two? Then how will you be able to support yourself?

This is one of the primary reasons it says on the Embassy Websites do not sell anything, move, book tickets etc, until the VISA is in hand.. period..
