Hi

My mom is US Citizen and she applied for my brother( over 18).Until DS230 everything is done. His Priority date is 09feb2006. I wants to know that how long it ll take to get A F1 visa. Thanks

Since you said he is FB1 category, older than 21 years and unmarried son of U.S citizen, he has to wait until his priority date become current. Once his priority date is current, U.S. consulate in your country will schedule an interview date for him so that he can get a visa to U.S. As of today, they are giving out visas to those whose priority date are before 01MAY04. Check this website only monthly basis http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5518.html

@ Loudy >> Does that mean this will take somewhat 2 more years? Holy cow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, if someone files now, this takes 7+ years?

I'm not loudy, but probably yes. It all depends on the visa bulletin for both answers. It advances, stands still or retrogresses. That's why you have to check it out every month. It can be less time, no one knows exactly, it's an estimated time.
