transit visa to go through London?

Hello everyone,

As a Green Card holder, does anyone know if I need a transit visa to go through London? I checked the embassy website, but I ended up very confused.

2008-8---- : interview was fine, but was given a RFE, reason: chicken pox shot( although i got the shot when i was little)

2010-7-20 : I-751 sent back to me. Cause: signatures and filing early.

2010-7-26 : I-751 re-sent

2010-8-09 : First NOA received ( dated 8/2 )

2010-8-12 : Biometrics appointment letter received ( dated 8/6 )

2010-8-19 : Early biometrics

2010-9-08 : Card production ordered

2010-9-15 : Green Card received, with incorrect first name (one letter missing)

I-90

2010-9-16 : Sent I-90 with Green Card

2010-9-17 : I-90 delivered

2010-9-24 : Receipt received. Notice date: 9-22

2011-2-08 : Card production ordered

2011-2-10 : Card received with NO errors.

So long as it is transit within one airport, no. If you need to do Heathrow-Gatwick transit different story--in that case (unless you happen to be a citizen of a country with which UK enjoys visa-free exchange--such as Canada) you need a visitor visa.

2006/10/27 Pras' conditional GC arrives -- .5 to go (2 yrs to Conditions Removal)

2008/07/21 I-751 (conditions removal) filed

2008/08/22 I-751 biometrics completed

2009/06/18 I-751 approved

2009/07/03 10-year GC received; last 0.5 done!

Thank you so much to all of you for your quick reply. My flight kind of goes like this: USA - London Heathrow Arpt - another country (final destination). Therefore I wont think I'd be needing a visitor visa.
