If I am not mistaken all of the documents in which you deal with the United States Goverment in this immigration process has to have an English translation. I would make a copy of everything you have. DO NOT SEND original documents unless they ask for them because you will not get them back.

Good Luck,

As for the proof I am sure they will ask for this information at the interview.

You're mistaken. :)

As the instructions from the Consulate state, evidence documents for the Consulate (visa application) can be in English or the local language(s).

Anything that is destined for USCIS (marriage certificate) must be translated into English.

Hi Karem, I know I sent you a PM but this is for all the people new here that may or may not know about Peter's thread. It is under The Foreign Embassy and Consulate General Discussion on the forums page. Right now on page two is a thread called "Colombian Club" click on the thread and readi it. Deals with the Bogota embassy. For the interview take what they ask and docs for proof of relationship, cover all your bases and just be prepared so if they ask you have it. Hope this helps and will send you another email as well with some other thoughts. When did you start your process? Didn't see a timeline.

Doug
