Hello! Ma y be somebody can help me or have simmiliar situation. I am Ukrainian with tourist viza. If I will register my new-born son with his father- american sitizenthip, will I have problem at the customs on my way to Ukraine. The father refused child at the beginning of my pregnancy and I have no contact with him.Thanks a lot for help

I am not sure I understand your situation, or what you are asking.

- Are you currently in the USA, where you have given birth, and are asking what your son needs to travel back to the Ukraine with you?

- Are you in the Ukraine, and wanting to do Consular Record of Birth Abroad (CRBA) so your son can have a US passport, despite his father denying paternity?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

If you want to get a US passport for the baby and father is listed on birth certificate, then you will need a written consent from the father to apply for the US passport.

If you do not list the father and your baby was born in the US, your baby is still a US citizen by birth.
