Hello. any info would be appreciated...In the US, I applied for TANF (temporary assistance for needy families) and was accepted because my daughter's father (my fiance) is in Costa Rica, and cannot help pay for our daughter while there (he is colombian, and his immigration status DOES NOT give him the right to work in Costa Rica. I was hoping that would be sufficient for a financial expedite? , Not sure, but I have papers from the child support enforcement agency that state I will receive XX dollars BECAUSE John is out of the country. It takes the place of his child support. I also receive support for my other daughter because her biological father is deceased. I am not employed because our daughter is still very young. My father is cosponsoring for the visa.

Is there a good link or list of the expedite request process?

Do i request an expedite when i send in the first packet? attach evidence with the I129f?

Not sure of how to go about it,

Well, at least you started a Timeline. That helps. There is Nothing There. and there is Nothing there based upon this post.

Expedite ? What ? Evidence of what?

Submit your 129-F and spend $340.00 and wait 2 weeks for an Approval. Then, write this _________________- As you stated above for an Expedite. Based on the Post alone taking into consideration of it's content you maynot be prepared for USCIS. I sugguest you study further before a submission and paying any Fees.

The Only Expedite I see is a Cashed Check and Denial and a loss of $340.00. If the USC in Over or Meets Income Requirements there is a Fair chance of Approval. The rest of the the Post is N/A. USCIS Only is Concerned what the Petitioner's Income Is. Not all this other stuff.

Financial expedite? What would getting him here faster accomplish? He won't be able to work when he gets here for at least 3 months. How will you support him if you're not working and on public assistance yourself?

Don't worry about it, we work so you don't have to.

I was also wondering about this myself. K-1 process will cost anywhere from $3K - $5K up to the adjustment of status. Then not be working for a few months.

According to the OP, she is in dire need financially. I don't see how expediting it could alleviate the financial situation, especially in today's economy???:bonk:

Maybe wait until you're in better financial footing before filing???

I actually forgot to answer the main question. Here is the criteria for expediting an application:

Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The burden is on the applicant or petitioner to demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. The criteria are as follows:

  • Severe financial loss to company or individual
  • Extreme emergent situation
  • Humanitarian situation
  • Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States
  • Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)
  • USCIS error
  • Compelling interest of USCIS

If you have already filed your application or petition:

You can make an expedite request by contacting the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283. The NCSC will take a "service request" and forward your expedite request to the office with jurisdiction over the application or petition. You also have the options of 1). visiting your local office by scheduling an InfoPass appointment or 2). writing a letter to the local office or service center.http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD
