It's my 3rd week waiting for the NVC letter. I'm just dying to get my hands on it.

I'm gonna end up calling the NVC (i live in the philippines) but I just want to know

how long it's supposed to take?

i see people's timeline.... it's only a matter of days....

Fiance is currently under deployment...isn't due back in SD till September!

waiting a few more days before making that call!

I (the beneficiary) started chasing NVC for the case number 2 weeks from my NOA2 approval date til this 1st week of July where I finally got our case number. I made a lot of phone calls thru gmail (cos its free, calling a US number from the PI) and I made a lot of emails to NVCInquiry@state.gov and NVCResearch@state.gov to inquire about the status of our case. My fiance is unable to make phone calls to immigration thing because he's on deployment too that's why.

I suggest you call NVC now if ur NOA2 date is 2 weeks old already, don't stop til they give u ur case number. That is what I did. I've read that as long as you have the case number (even if u dont have the actual letter from the NVC), you can now proceed with the next step which is to pay the visa fee, schedule appointment, and do the medical prior to the interview date.

Good luck.
