I'm probably just spazzing out :) But I was going through our evidence, getting all the emails and phone logs together. I'm a little worried because for the last 4 months my fiance hasn't had regular email access. In Cuba access to email and the internet can be difficult. We are exchanging about 4 emails a week right now (2 from him and 2 from me), I call 2 or 3 times a week (again this is expensive so I can't call more) and text messages. I have some old chat logs and extensive emails from when he had internet in his home.

We are trying really hard to get him an email or internet connection at home.

I would assume that the embassy will understand that few people in Cuba have the internet and therefore can't use skype and chat as much as people in other countries. I just get worried when other people on here talk about their 2,000 emails and 25 pounds of chat logs

What are people's experiences with this. I have about 500 emails right now plus some old facebook chat logs. I'm freaking out over nothing right

Right!!

I've seen this too but there is no way they are going to look at more than a few pages.. The reality is they are busy enough and its easy to panic about this. Sounds to me like you are more than fine with what you have. For the 6 1/2mths you are waiting for your interview just imagine the cost of printing every page if you had more printable contact :o .

There will surely be enough from what you have by then of examples of your ongoing relationship, possibly cards sent etc. Who considers the level of a relationship to be measured by weight of the paper its printed on? So you will find you have enough to find examples that prove it. Best wishes to you both.

I can't speak personally for you embassy....but I would think that what you have is fine.

I am sure that a CO from Cuba would be aware of the problems with internet there. And, as has already been mentioned, the CO really don't have time to go through hundreds of pieces of paper.

Maybe someone that has recently had an interview at your embassy can better set your mind at ease, but I really do think what you have will be ok.

Good luck!!!

I think you are fine, as long as you converse with each other. We don't communicate much at all using the internet, mostly by phone through a calling card that has a list of our calls. Even snail mail letters are good and also the envelope stamps.

NOA1 - 12/21/15

NOA2 - 04/18/16

NVC Receive - 04/29/16

NVC Welcome - 05/13/16

AOS, IV PAID - 05/27/16

DS260 done - 06/10/16

Case Transferred to US Embassy in Riga Latvia at the end of October.

If you really want it, you'll find a way!

I have no firsthand experience with Cuba, but I believe the consulates do not want to see every page of every chat and email you have ever had. They will never look through all that anyway. I think they want to see consistent communication, like any couple would have. Providing some chat logs, emails, and phone records spread out over the entire relationship period covers that.

I was thinking of this too…We have 5600 emails now!!!, but that’s how we mainly communicate. She goes to the Cuban “email café”, almost every day but Sunday when we have phone calls. If you print out 500 emails, I’d think you will be very secure…The only reason we have so many emails is because we use it like “chat”…but it is often delayed as I’m sure you are aware.

I don’t plan on paying for freight on airlines for all of our emails…ja ja. I was just going to print out our 5600 email log, and was thinking about attaching 100-200 emails over all the time.

I know we are all nervous, but Cuba has a pretty good success rate for immigration…If we fail…I’m moving…ja ja.

Yeah, my fiance can't do the internet cafe everyday. But we also use it like a chat :) Thanks everyone ! I am going to print out most of the emails. I just counted and we actually have 800 emails. I doubt they are going to read all of those
