Just got the NOA for biometrics

We just recieved the biometrics appointment NOA. Does that mean that we are not going to get RFE? Do people normally get RFE's prior to receiving this appointment NOA? Or do people with RFE's get them normally after their biometrics? We are just trying to figure out if we got luck. Thanks!

The bigger question is whether you'll have an interview or not. For those who file through VSC, getting their case transferred to CSC is a good indicator that they will not have an interview. Not sure about those who are already at CSC.

I was told that they don't really look at the paperwork until after biometrics. We are in same boat. I just had biometrics done June 30th. then I got a letter saying our paperwork was sent to CSC. I am hoping no RFE's

Getting past this point doesnt mean they wont issue an RFE in my experiance. We got one at the AOS meeting! If you do get one its not a big deal. We simply submitted the info required & the case was approved within a few days.

I got a RFE after I received the NOA for biometrics.

Same here.. With USCIS, anything goes, so just take it day by day and try not to worry.. If it happens, it happens..

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)
