E-mail notification for RFE?

My wife and I sent in a ton of evidence with our I-751 in January and are not expecting an RFE. Nevertheless, given that it's been 6 months and our case still hasn't been approved, I started worrying that maybe we were sent an RFE and it got lost in the mail. I'm signed up for case updates on the USCIS website, so I'm assuming I'd get an e-mail notification if an RFE was coming and that my case status on the website would indicate that an RFE had been issued. Is that correct?

Not necessarily, I do not think the case status is very reliable. If it was AOS or Naturilization then I would say "yes". I think they do not update status of the I-751 applications very often so I would just give them a call to see if they have sent you anything. You can just ask the customer rep if they have sent anything recently and I believe they should be able to tell you.

That is correct

I just got a text and e-mail from VSC 2 days ago indicating that my case has been updated.I went on the uscis site and it showed RFE.I am just waiting for the actual letter to come in the mail and see what this is about

I hope you dont get an RFE, but in case you do, there is no way you will miss it on your online account

Good luck

Again, I-751 is different than AOS and Naturilization. In AOS and Naturilization there are lots of internal activities on your case and those activites create LUDs (last update) in your case.

Thanks, everyone, for the replies. To Angus's point, I guess I should be more specific: Is there anyone here who recently filed an I-751 at VSC and got an RFE? If so, did you receive an e-mail or see a change in your case status on the USCIS website?

I didn't get a RFE, but as I remember, I've never seen people getting RFE notification e-mail or showing RFE status on website for ROC here in ROC forum:)
