CR-1 Question

Hello everyone,

Been offline for a while. Hope things r working positive for the VJers.

I have a question.

If someone gets married back home, and he/she stays in India after marriage for longer like 2 or 3 months, can he/she apply for CR-1 while staying back home or they have to start the process only after they get back to the states?

I know that you can no longer apply for the CR-1 visa from back home. They changed the rule recently.

But what I mean is that can they send the documents needed for I-130 process while they are still in India?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Have a great evening. :)

Yes, that is what I meant.

I just wanted to make sure they don't cause any problems due to the citizen not being in the states.

Thanks.
