NVC case complete, what's the next step?

Hi All,

I just heard from the AVR of NVC that my case is complete. What is the next step? Do I need to wait for the NVC to send me email of what to do next?

From my understanding, the NVC will now send my case to the local embassy (Manila). Will we receive email regarding the procedures for the beneficiary to take the medical exam (e.g., where and how)?

Thanks,

Harold

Congrats. I am sure you provided NVC with your and your spouses email addresses. If that is the case, both of you will get emails with details of the interview date and other information (medical, vaccination,...), as soon as an interview date has been finalized with the Consulate/ Embassy at Manila. Check the timelines for Manila Embassy at VJ and you will get some idea and when the interview date could be. I hope some one from Manila will share this information based on their experience - each country (even consulate/embassy) is different.

USA

Hi,

Very soon you will get appoitment letter from NVC. It says about your interview date, medical exam and may be packet 4. Now you have to deal with your local embassy. Just call to NVC next Monday and ask them about interview date. I have one q. for you. When did you send your DS230 package to NVC? Did you get any RFE? I just sent about 1 week before and i would like to know how long they take to complete cast at NVC. Good Luck.

Thanks. What is Packet 3 and Packet 4? Are there any other forms that I or my beneficiary needs to fill out and submit?

I sent the DS230 package to NVC on June 20 (next day delivery) so they received it on June 21. I just received the "complete" message from AVR today. I did receive an RFE on June 14 but it was saying that they haven't received the DS230 package yet. I wasn't able to send the DS230 package until June 20 because my spouse was still in the process of getting the necessary certificates.

packet 3 is all the stuff you sent to NVC.

packet 4 is the appointment letter.

She'll need to study the manila IV website for other forms and processes.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
