I do everything myself except hair related stuff.. My GIL cuts my hair every 6 months or so... I don't color my hair, and still get compliments on my hair color almost everywhere I go :P

I usually do my eyebrows myself, but like to get them professionally done every once in a while...

OMG!! What a fascinating theme jajaja! I was wondering that too. I've been here in virginia almost 4 months now, and EVERY beauty salon I have gone to ask prices is quite expensive, comparing prices to the salons in my home country. The only luxury that I give to myself I may admit, is a good hair treatment, conditioning, color...etc. Since 16 I had been coloring and doing highlights to my hair. But here is quite expensive.! The first thing that they told me is to show they my hair, to see who long it was. Since its quite long, they told me that it may be around 70$ without highlights!!!, just base color and treatments.....So, I did it by myself for the second time in my life :crying: and I am ok with the result. Thinking on buying a hair dryier machine and iron too....Eventhought is not the same effect as doing it in a beauty salon by someone else, it will save me some pennies when I start working. (I guess)

I only get my hair cut 2-3 times a year, and I go to the local Hair Cuttery, which used to be hella cheap, but they're kinda jacking up their prices now, so boo. I don't color my hair. I don't get manicures or pedicures - I just do my own nails, which I've been doing much more of lately. I might try getting a mani or pedi sometime soon just for fun. Never had a pedi in my whole 27-year life.

I'm the USC petitioner.
