I-751 and I-551-questions for my 10 yr old daughter

Dear all,

I hope someone can help me here...

I received my non conditional permanent status greencard early this year. I will submit my 10 yr old daughter's application for non conditional status in sept 9, 2011, her conditional greencard will expire on dec 5, 2011. We filed separately because she came in the US 6 months after I filed mine.

We are planning to go out of the country (Phils.) on Dec 7 2011, and will be gone for a month. I want to ask if I have to have her passport stamped with I-551 since we're not sure if we can get her greencard before we leave?

And also, what requirements should I include on her application for I-751? are school and health records enough?

Thank you very much.

no, i-551 not needed, when you file the i-751, the noa1 automatically extends the green card by one year

YMMV

Thank you for the quick reply - do you think my daughter can travel without the non conditional greencard? is it okay for her to just bring the expired conditional greencard? if so, we are worried we might have problems with the re-entry. Thanks.

thats right.when you send in the 1-751 file you will get a noa-1 receipt letter that will say you have a one year extension, you can use that letter and your old permanent resident card to traval,if you don't get your new card by then.
