Hi VJ members! I hope someone can help me here. We are already preparing our DS-230 form.

Does my wife need both NBI and Police clearance or Police Clearance only? She just applied for NBI Clearance for her passport which is one of the requirements. Is it possible to apply for another NBI clearance even though you just applied recently, or there's a certain time for applying another NBI Clearance? I really have no idea how this work. Thanks again and have a nice day!

hi, before you can get an NBI, you need to get a brgy/police clearance first and bring it to NBI to file for the clearance. I guess they give two NBI copies each time you ask for it. But if you need one, there's no limit to get NBI clearance.

And you only need the original NBI to submit for the DS230 form. Good luck.

Huh? Must be something new because my wife did not have to bring anything except ID to get her NBI clearance. We did get the police clearance, but found out it wasnt needed. Just NBI clearance is needed for the PI.

I think my wife only got the NBI clearance. She got a police clearance from Indonesia since she lived there more than 6 months. Either I am becoming forgetful with the passage of time or she did more than I was aware of... I AM getting forgetful, I know... So much stuff, and almost 3 years ago now

God bless you all...
