Hi everyone. I'm alittle worried atm. My wife was scheduled for her interview in April. Because she had noticable scar tissue in her chest x-Ray, she had to undergo 3 sputum smears and a sputum culture & sensitivity. This c&s was said to take 3 months. It's about time for her to get her results(July 4- happy independence day:), Thank God finally! Anyways, my concern is that about a month ago, I lost my fulltime job! Sigh, but I still have my part-time job. During the time I submitted my affidavit of support, I turned in 3 years of tax forms each with an amount of $55,000 per year. Since, I lost my job I started my own ice cream truck business from which I can make around $1000 a week tax free. Only thing is, Because it's a cold cart business I'm only reporting $4000 a year for obvious reasons. My question is, when my wife goes to her interview, is she gonna have to tell them that I lost my job or not? Will the embassy know that I'm no longer working for my ex fulltime employer??? Does my wife still claim that I'm still working fulltime with them???? Please help me, I'm so concerned. I'm planning on sending my last pay stub of my exFt work and the latest stub of my current employer. Thank you all for your wonderful advice:) God bless US all on our Journey:)

You need to provide an updated I-864. If you now do not make enough, you need a co-sponsor, or sponsor on assets. As you have not yet reported your 2011 icecream truck earnings- you'll only be filing taxes for that early next year-, you can also do the easy (and right!) thing and report your earnings correctly on the I-864 and thus later when tax season comes around. Never ever lie to the CO about where/ that you work; it could be considered material missrepresentation and lead to a lifetime ban.

You will need a joint sponsor.

Losing your job is a material change affecting the I-864. You have a duty to keep the I-864 up-to-date.

Lying that you still have a job will end badly. This could be a material misrepresentation that could result in a denial and lifetime ban from the US.

Thanks for all your responses. I finally got the chance to update this thread for all of you that may experience this situation and for the knowledge of what becomes of this. I had called USCIS with my concern before my wife returned

back to Manila to finish off her medical at st lukes - which btw, is a terrible place says my wife! Anyways, when I called USCIS they said that they had already forwarded

the case to NVC. I thanked them, I then called NVC. NVC replied that my case number had already been completed and forwarded to US Embassy @ Manila. I called the embassy and they just advised me to wait until the interview and see what the out come would be. I addressed my concerning greatly, and was told to turn in all my business info as possible and that I should possibly think about a cosponser. I sent my most recent pay stubs to my wife which amount to a total of nearly 30k being well above the 125% poverty line (18k). Anyways, my wife ended up going to her interview of course and didn't have to pull out a sheet of paper fro the big folder she had. Her total of 3 interview sessions/people, lasted roughly 15 minutes! And she was approved! I'm thinking that since the case had already been approved by NVC (which is where i provided my I-864) there was nothing else necessary. I'll be posting the interview story in a couple of days/week or 2. I'm very excited!!! Yay! My wifey will be here on Aug 5!!! Good luck to you all hope this helps:) if this was helpful??? Thank me and add me as you friend:) take care Jesus bless you and good luck on you VisaJourney:)
