Just a quick one... They don't give out the green forms on the plane any more, but I take it there are white I-94s at the POE / border...?

It's just another thing that I worry about at night ... Sigh.

Thanks guys...

David

Hi David

I also entered at O'Hare and the CO looked puzzled that I hadnt been given my I-94 at Manchester but nonetheless she gave me one to complete as she was going over my K1 envelope. So dont worry about it too much. Good Luck xxx

Yeah, you're just like me in terms of worrying David, but don't worry about POE, it is all really easy and laid back! I was given the white I-94 and customs forms on the plane and gave them both, along with my passport with the K1 in and the sealed brown envelope to the CBP offical at San Francisco. He took my fingerprints and my photo, opened the brown envelope, had a quick look inside at a few documents, then stapled the bottom bit of the I-94 in my passport. It's a little bigger then the size of a credit card. He then said welcome to the US and I was on my way in around 5 mins. Now I am with my fiancee again and could not be happier! On to the next thing to worry about now, but I was right, things get less stressful with your fiancee by your side!

hahaha... Give yourself 30 more years and you probably will be cool. Then you can pull off the "I'm twice your age sonny boy, so don't mess with me" routine OR just act senile and get your way.

I-94: Last time we returned from the Heathrow, the Continental counter had stacks at check-in, so have a look at your airline counter. Also, there was a guy asking everybody before you get to the counter, "do you have your ESTA?" Your answer, is "No, I'm traveling on a visa." There you go, I pre-empted another freak out for you. :P

We Americans have become quite sensitive to racially charged terms such as "black" and "white" here. Please refrain from such offensive language on a public board and use the appropriate terms: black forms are African-American, white forms, such as the I-94, are Caucasian American, green forms are Irish-American, and pink forms are gay-American. It's a new time and we all must be sensitive to the feelings of our fellow humans.

:bonk:

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

Thanks Dan, Nick/Nich and Bob :P

Yeah I just hope I don't get the same CBP agent I've had for the past two POE's at Chicago O'Hare. He was cool with me the first time, the second time he must have been having a bad day and I got sent into a secondary interview room. I don't think I've been so scared in my entire life. I couldn't take a return flight home :P

I'll have to make sure I don't get in his line ;)

David.
