Problems with Tax Info for AOS

I am a student with an on campus job. Therefore, I have never made enough money to require filing my taxes. I obviously will have a joint sponsor for the AOS but what do I send in for MY tax information? All I have is a W-2, will that work? Thanks for all your help!

USCIS:

04/25/2011~ I-130 sent

04/27/2011~ NOA1 received!

07/21/2011~ NOA2 email and text! 85 days!

07/25/2011~ NOA2 hard copy received!

NVC:

08/01/2011~ NVC received petition

08/29/2011~ Received case number and IIN

09/02/2011~ I-864 AOS bill received and paid

09/02/2011~ DS3032 sent by email

09/05/2011~ DS3032 accepted

09/07/2011~ I-864 status PAID

09/07/2011~ I-864 package sent overnight

09/07/2011~ IV bill recieved and paid

09/09/2011~ IV status PAID

09/09/2011~ IV package sent overnight

09/15/2011~ Received I-864 RFE

Read the directions !! Either get official tax transcripts from the IRS (this is the preferred approach of NVC) or send a complete copy of your returns including w-2's and any other statements that you filed with your returns.

I ONLY have a W-2. No other transcripts or forms. My joint sponsor has all the necessary transcripts and such but I have pretty much nothing.

See page 8.Federal Income Tax Information. Paragraph 6 on that page.

Did you have any Federal tax held out of your paychecks? It would show up on the W2. If so, you can get that money back by filing a return.

Got it--you may have been below the income level where you had to file taxes. In that case you need to write a letter explaining why you didn't have to file, and you can use the W-2 as evidence that you were below the threshold. No big deal--really !!
