Medical Interview Question

Hi all,

We're currently going through the visa process to relocate to America (wife and I are both currently living in UK, she's the USC), and I will (hopefully) shortly be receiving Packet 3, necessitating the booking of a Medical examination with the US Embassy's doctors down in London.

Having taken a look at the guidelines and questionnaire forms, I'm curious as to whether the doctors at the Knightsbridge clinics have the same rights and access to my medical records as my local GP would do?

Additional information: The site of the doctors states to bring the following information:

Appointment letter from the United States Embassy

Passport

Passport-sized photograph (one for each applicant, including babies)

Medical questionnaire, form IV18a (one for each applicant, including babies)

Spectacles or contact lenses if worn

Vaccination records , with original certification

Children's 'Red Book' health record

Medical reports of any past or current illnesses including psychiatric

This would imply that they don't have direct access to UK medical records (as it requests reports of illnesses to be brought with the applicant)

As far as I know, no, they do not have access to your GP files.

Nope, I don't believe they do. Bring any record of jabs, etc. with you that you can obtain from your GP.
