Hi!

I am scheduled for an interview next week at the US Embassy in Stockholm.

They ask me to bring the original documents which I allready have sent to them?

Whats the deal?

23/05/2011 - My wife filed i-130 at the US Embassy in Stockholm

1/06/2011 - Medical Exam, Chest X-ray

16/6/2011 - Sent in all documents to Embassy

20/6/2011 - Recieved letter from Embassy with Scheduled Interview

29/6/2011 - Interview - almost approved, had to send them one more paper

11/7/2011 - Recieved VISA paggage, not even 2 months total time :-)

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up your original documents. Send in certified copies only. Take the originals with you and show them, but never let anybody have the original. Lesson learned.

I would take in copies (as that is all you have left assuming you did make copies) and explain during the interview that they already have the originals. As they usually expect that copies are sent in with the application and they may want to verify that the copy matches the original. As you sent in the originals they may not want to see anything at the interview, but I would take copies just to be safe.
