I have an 8 month old and do not have anyone that can watch him on the day of my biometrics appointment. Hubby is working and cannot get time off either. Has anybody brought their baby to the biometrics office before? This would specifically be for the Cleveland office.

I typically use a baby carrier so he would be strapped on my chest. What is involved with biometrics besides fingerprinting? Just wonder if a picture is taken too.

AOS application sent: 03/16/2011

Application Received: 03/17/2011 (Day 1)

Checks Cashed: 03/22/2011 (Day 6)

Received hard copies of AOS: 03/25/2011 (Day 9)

Yes, photos are taken.

Married since 03/02/2011, AOS from F-1 visa, green card granted 05/24/2011.
Blessed with a healthy baby boy, 08/19/2011! We get to keep our family together! Thank you! smile.png

Photos and fingerprints. You will have to take the baby to the side whilst pictures are taken. But I don't see why they cant accommodate you. Good luck it takes fifteen

ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS TIMELINE

October 16th 2010: Landed at JFK INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL 2 under Visa Waiver Program.

October 17th 2010: Nicole (now my wife) took me to manhattan and treat me like no other.

November 13th 2010: Got Engaged!

December 17th 2010: We got married!

January 14th 2011: VISA EXPIRED (No AOS papers sent yet)

February 20th 2011: Filed for AOS (Sent in I-130 / I-864 / I-485)

March 7th 2011: Received NOA for I-130 / I-485

March 18th 2011: Biometrics taken

March 26th 2011: RFE MEDICAL

April 12th 2011: Medical Sent (ouch the needles)

April 18th 2011: Medical received my USCIS

April 30th 2011: I-765 (Employment Authorization Documentation) Sent

May 4th 2011: Rejection notice I-765 (I forgot to tick "applying for first card" at top of application)

May 9th 2011: New receipt for I-765 received

June 10th 2011: INTERVIEW DATE / JULY 13th 2011

June 15th 2011: EAD CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED

June 20th 2011: EAD CARD IN HAND

June 22nd 2011: SSN APPLIED

June 24th 2011: SSN IN HAND

July 13th 2011: Adjustment of Status Interview (A P P R O V E D)

July 13th 2011: Email confirmation Card Production Ordered

July 18th 2011: Second email confirmation Card Production Ordered (-.-)

July 19th 2011: Post Decision Activity

July 23rd 2011: Green Card Arrived!!!

I doubt it would be an issue. I'd bring a stroller or car seat as well, though, to put the baby in while the picture is taken. :)

I'll have a 2 weeks old baby at the time of my interview. Any advice about should i or not bring the baby with me?

12/21/2011 1.55 PM item was delivered at 1:55 pm on December 21, 2011 in CHICAGO, IL 60680 to INS 805887 . The item was signed for by R MERCARDO.

12/27/2011 5.50 PM E-mail/text USCIS Acceptance Confirmation received.

1/2/2012 NOA's for I-130, I-485, I-765 received.

1/3/2012 Biometrics appointment letter for 1/17/2012 received.

1/17/2012 12.00 PM Biometrics done in Tampa ASC.

1/30/2012 8.00 PM E-mail/text I-485 case update (Testing and Interview)

You can if you want/need to. I know my daughter was nursing constantly at that age. Either bring someone with you to watch her or bring her in a car seat or stroller so your hands will be free for the actual fingerprinting. If you don't want to bring her you don't need to.

sorry, i posted in a thread about biometrics, but im gonna have to bring my baby to the interview. i'm afraid if i do bring her she'll be fussy and loud, but in other hand i don't want to have to leave her with anyone and put her on the bottle at such an early age..

Don't worry about it, lots of people in the waiting room had kids so you can pace around while waiting if needed, and at the actual interview they've seen it all. Our daughter was 14 months at the time and was all over the place. Hopefully yours will end up sleeping. :)
