My husband was appoved for the visa and will be going to get it Friday. If everything goes well, he will be here next week. Not only because I want him, but his medicals will expire and he must leave before that. Looking at various airlines it looks like he will probably take United from Ghana into DC. I serched the site, as best as I could, and found many people with reviews for their K1 visa with entry from IAD. I wanted to know if anyone that was coming in through DC on an IR1 visa and what there experience was. Thanks.

I would guess similar- since he has his green card it should be easy. My fiance (at the time) who was a first time flyer said it was very easy to go through and navigate for the layover. I will be flying United from now on- great schedules.
