Tax returns for interview

I know that I need to bring a transcript of copies of my last 3 years tax returns to the interview (he has it this Wednesday!) I have 2 hard copies already because we had them professionally done. The 3rd (last year's) we did ourselves with turbo tax and I thought I could pull it up. But now I can't seem to find it. The only thing I can find is a copy but across all the pages, it says 'PREVIEW ONLY' across the top, middle and bottom of the pages. You can still read everything that is on the page, but I'm worried they won't take this. Will it be ok? I don't know what else to do if it isn't

IRS will fax copies to you if you call them. See IRS web site for 800 # or find info on web site to get transcripts.

I saw that, but we don't have access to a fax machine. And I looked into transcripts but what I saw said it cost something like $57/pc. Maybe I'm reading that all wrong?

They can mail your tax transcripts to you for free. When I did this, I got it the following week.

I must have been reading it wrong! I looked into getting the transcripts but thought it was a huge cost for it so I didn't do it. His interview is in 2 days so now there isn't even enough time to mail it. I called Office Max about having it faxed in but it will cost $22! He has been out of work for 9 months, support 5 people, so we really need to try to do it cheaper. But don't know if we'll have a choice.

Will they not take the one I have, with preview written on it?

Go ahead and order it by snail mail anyway. Worst case scenario is that the IO may request that the transcript be sent in after interview. BUT, sometimes they may not even want to see it...tell him not to offer or volunteer to give them his taxes.

We actually found it! Well, he called turbotax. Apparently I was signing in with the wrong username. Go figure. That has me unnerved for a bit. lol

go to your local IRS office, they will give you the transcripts on the spot.
