Since we are now married do I need to change my new married name in my passport if I want to visit my husband in England while we are waiting on noa2?Can I just leave my passport in my Surname from b4 I married? Will there be any problems and do I need to supply evidence that we are in CR1 visa process when I come into UK?Crazy questions I know but I've heard of wives being denied entry in the UK for visiting their British husbands because they think they are going to stay and not go back to their own country lol....Thank you Amy and Colin

You definitely do not need to change your name on your passport before visiting, not everyone decides to change their name when they get married. Of course you have to book your tickets in the same name as your passport.

I would take your NOA1 with you and your marriage certificate (maybe) if your CR1 application is in your married name.

And then the same as normal...only take enough stuff for a visit and perhaps take evidence of ties to the US.

Good luck! Have fun!

Your passport is fine in your maiden name. Make sure you book flights in the same name as the passport and carry a copy of your marriage certificate with you.

As always, visiting a country where your spouse is resident requires carrying evidence of ties to home to prove that you are not trying to immigrate "through the backdoor". I should think a CR1 NOA showing that hubby is trying to immigrate to the US, plus a letter from your employer/college stating that you are expected back on X date wouldn't harm your cause. :)

Have a wonderful trip. :)

I haven't changed my name on my passport yet. I book my flights in my maiden name to match my passport and haven't run into any problems. I guess I'd better carry evidence with me this next trip because I didn't think to do it the last time.
