Timeline

ok so my fiance has ssn card. but it says "not valid for employment" now on ds260 it says if she currently has a ssn. and i put no and submitted the ds260 already how can i correct this??

you're doing the K1 visa with the DS-230? To update the information call the NVC and let them know the information on the form is incorrect and they might ask the updated from be emailed or give another option.

no i submitted the ds260. no ds230. but what if the case has been forwarded to the consulate?? the ds260 is at the consulate

then I would first email the consulate and ask them how to correct it. OR you can just bring the UPDATED DS-260 to the interview if you are able to print it. IF not i would take a completed DS-230.. The DS-230/60 are no different. One is done electronically the other my paper.

so i contacted the consulate and they told me since she is sworn under oath to just bring it up at the interview and admit the mistake and they will correct the mistake she just has to take her ssn card as well. but to be on the safe side im going to do a ds230...lol...do u know where it says spouse information on these forms i put my info??? im not technically her spouse yet

ok kool take the completed form since would have her complete a new one. They cant just scratch out and initial the area. Glad you're almost done.
