What will I ask my parents to bring here in the US?

If I am not mistaken, they are allowed 50 lbs X 2 for each person. For both of them, that means 4 X 50 lbs boxes to fill! I understand we can buy many items in a local Filipino store but I am thinking of cheaper things to buy in the Philippines rather than here in the us. These are some things I have in mind:

  • The infamous TABO for them to use since I already have mine.
  • Tawas roll on. I like the solid roll-on type from Thailand.
  • 10 flip flops for visitors at home (not sure if these cost less)
  • Saffron powder for the Arroz Caldo
  • Sinigang mix
  • Our Magic Sing Karaoke mics at home
  • Dried mangoes

What else can you add to the list?

You can get most of that stuff here in the US, and save them the stress of having to drag 4 boxes around. Just an idea...

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
