CFO??? Huh....?

Hello all my VJ'ers. My wife was recently asked when she was going to the CFO. She said "huh??" Came to me in panic asking what it is... i didn't know either so I looked it up. I never heard of it and don't see it anywhere in the guides. I see it is a seminar nessesary for her to leave the Philippines to Immigrate to another country, also it is put in the passport. Do we really need it???? I thought u get the visa after interview in her passort, it's enclosed in an envelope and opened by the US officers in USA. HELP.

I Googled "CFO Philippines" and saw that CFO stands for Commission on Filipinos Overseas. The website for it looks very official. I don't know what exit procedures are for the Philippines, but if people have to pass through passport control when leaving, then passport control personnel may check for this in the passport and not permit passage through without it.

The CFO sticker is not an option. She needs it or else they won't let her board the plane. It's a requirement. She needs to pay the fees, submit the docs, and attend the seminar. AFter that, she'll get the sticker stamped in her passport. She needs to have the visa first before getting the sticker.

Cfo is a seminar for all the filipino's who's goin to the other country and they will give ur wife a certificate for her to show it to the DFA for her passport to be release, and the seminar takes only an hour. the sticker from cfo will give to your wife when she had a visa already.

your welcome and Godbless to you and ur wife's journey! just tell her to gathered all the requirments that needed before she going to CFO. like married certificate, birth, divorce or annulment paper if one of u had a previous married. picture's that u were together, and photo copy everything. and ofcourse the money for the fee
