how will we know the NVC has our visa? - we waited. I dont know why people call and call. We got NOA2 and then packet 3, my fiance got them in the US. When you get packet 3, which is a letter only saying that you can schedule the ASC and interview, well there, you do it.

how long does it take to get our interview? - I have been told that when you call, because you received packet 3 and were told to do so, you usually get it in the next 10 days or so.

do we have to pay another fee? Yes you have to pay USD 350 per visa, and medical exam at the medical clinic, I think that one is about USD 160

Ah, well that's why. You can start working on the forms almost everybody has to fill out, but you cannot schedule or attend the interview without packet 3, which is the invitation letter, and it won't arrive faster if you call, and it could cause problems, as I have read around. Just my opinion. We all want to be with our SO. When you get packet 3, call NVC and ask for your ID number, as you will need it later :star:

Hi, I saw your timeline...Call NVC in two weeks( NVC Phone# 603-334-0700), get an operator and ask if they have already received your case.If so, ask for case number, Invoice number and Beneficiary's ID number.

Consulate mails invitation letter to petitioner or beneficiary..You could receive it whether in Mexico or US.

From what I've heard you can also write them an email to: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov You can put something like this if you wanna know your case number:

MY NAME IS XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX AND MY BIRTH DATE IS JUNE 11, XXXX . MY CASE NUMBER WAS EACXXXXXXXXXX PETITION FOR FIANCEE, AND MY PETITIONER IS XXXXX XXXXXXXXXX AND HIS BIRTH DATE IS OCTOBER 25, XXXX, WE RECEIVE OUR APPROVAL NOTICE ON XXXXX, THEY INFORMED US THAT MY BENEFICIARY NUMBER IS AXXX PLEASE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TO MY NEW CASE NUMBER AND WHEN YOU WOULD SEND IT TO (your embassy)

They respond you in a couple of days if you do this

Best wishes
