Hey. We mailed out my wife's AOS packet on May 19th, and we still have not received Notice of Action, not even confirmation that they have received the file. We mailed it out USPS Express mail, and we mailed it to:

For courier/express delivery:

USCIS

Attn: FBAS

131 South Dearborn – 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

We tracked the package, and it was received and signed for, but there is no other information available. It has been almost three weeks now, any suggestions?

Did you send a personal cheque for the payment? We did, and I just sent my package last week, and I checked our online banking yesterday and the cheque had been deposited by DHS as of the 6th.

Try seeing if yours has been deposited. At least then you know they definitely received it :)

If your tracking number says it was delivered then it is there. Some people are lucky enough to receive an NOA and have their checks cashed early on, but it is totally normal for the current situation you are in. I would suggest you to review the threads for the last few months (May, Apr, Mar....) to have an understanding of what previous VJ members are experiencing. The March and April threads provide a group timeline if that helps.

We're in the same boat. We went with a lawyer so a copy is supposed to go to him also. He mailed it out May 10th and we haven't received any word yet. It's hard not to feel anxious. We used money orders so we don't have proof that a check had been deposited. I wish I had discovered this site earlier, I would have filed a g-1145. I'm definitely signing up for email notification after we get the NOA1.

It's hard not to feel like something's wrong when you look at everyone else's timeline and read that they heard from UCSIS after 10 days :crying:

Our timeline:

1993: Met at the age of 9, best friends ever since

2007: Admitted what we both knew all along...

December 25,2008: He proposed!!!!

May 9, 2009: Got married

May 10th, 2011: Date that lawyer claimed he mailed out AOS package

July 14th, 2011: Date that lawyer *actually* mailed out AOS package

July 18th, 2011: USCIS started processing our application

July 30th, 2011: Received Biometrics Appointment (8/11/11)

August 1st, 2011: Successful Biometrics walk-in

August 3rd, 2011: Received all NOA hard copies

September 12, 2011: Card production notice for EAD (!!!)

September 13, 2011: I765 touched

September 19, 2011: EAD arrived in the mail

December 28, 2011: Received email notification of our interview date

February 1, 2012: Interview

February 29, 2012: Approval notice via email(!!!)

March 7, 2012: Card arrives in the mail (!!!)
