My personal copy of the medical exam from St. Luke's was taken by the immigration officer when I arrived at Detroit, the CD however was returned to me. does this pose any problems when I apply for my AOS?

Nope.. That's usually the case. You will need to see a Civil Surgeon to have your vaccination records transcribed into a I-693 form. :)

Btw, your question has nothing to do with the topic of this thread and should be split from this post.

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

I think you need that vaccination record to be transcribe by the civil surgeon in your area. try to call uscis on what you need yo do if the immigration officer took it at your POE

No they don't need to make any calls that is normal envelope is taken at POE and you keep the cd for your AOS

A question kind of along the same lines...my fiance didn't make copies of his medical records before he gave them to the embassy in Malawi, all of which went into the sealed envelope and were taken at POE, so I don't know exactly what vaccinations he even got, nor the exact dates. Do I need to have an official copy of his vaccine history from his doctors office in Malawi to give the civil surgeon for the I-693 form, or do we just tell them the dates?
