J1(au pair visas) are under the category of The Exchange Visitor (J) non-immigrant visa. Anyways... either way (saying no or yes/explanation)I dont think it will affect at all.

Yes I know that, but in your visa says that u are not subject to the 2 years home requirementent, that means your application it is not subject to it either. Because you are under the same program.

Plus why u guys worry about it, if the question about the 2 year home requirement is in the form D2-230 PART II,

and PACKET 3 only asks for Form DS-230 PART I... PACKET 3 states:

FIRST: Complete and send us Form DS-230 Part I.(Application for Immigrant Visa and foreign registration) and 1 photo (see instructions attached)

You are worrying about a question wich is asked in PART II of the DS-230, WHEN PACKET 3 only request for PART I of the DS-230..

At least that the embassy in your countries request part I and part II, wich i doubt it because most of the countries request to fill out only part I..

OMG now I got worried too.

I was also an au pair and i extended my program for 6 months. My Visa says the same thing "NOT subject to the two year residence requirement".

I got a little confused about the other place I should check this information though.

However, I also think they wouldnt approve the first part of the process If they knew of this 'episode'.

I just hope none of us get in trouble with that on the interview. If we already reached this step of the process, nothing should be a big issue anymore to be denied.

God bless us all. Good luck to everybody.

Dave & Carol :)
