uscis text me 11 days ago saying they were sending me out a request for evidence letter that day.

i have not received anything and when i called uscis on friday, they said i had to wait 15 days before

i could call them about this. how can it take this long to mail a letter from calif. to seattle?

obviously something is wrong. either they never sent it or it got lost in the mail. why should i have

to wait another 15 days, after i have already been waiting 7 months for the noa2? i am getting pretty

disgusted with how uscis operates. they have our lives in their hands and when you call them, it is

obvious they don't give a sh_t about us at all.

I have had my fair share of upset and frustration with USCIS. There needs to be more transparency in this process, and it needs to be streamlined. My wife and I were rejected the first time around (she was on an F-1 student visa) because we did not receive our interview letter in the mail. Four months into the AOS process we received a denial letter stating that we had failed to show up to our interview. USCIS did not care to resolve the situation, or to reschedule the appointment. They said we had to prove that we had not received the letter... How does one do that? When I spoke with the manager of the local USPS office she was outraged and told me to speak to my Congressman, there was nothing she could do. We pay $1,400 for an AOS and USCIS can't be bothered to send these important documents through certified mail?

Neither my Senator, nor my Representative gave a damn, and so my wife was forced to leave the country. The case worker for my Representative stated that: "immigration is a privilege, not a right." As if I should be grateful to have the privilege of dishing out my hard earned cash and wasting my time for nothing. Many of us have experienced terrible things with USCIS, so believe me when I say you're not alone. Best of luck with your RFE. From what I've seen from numerous other timelines, if you are on top of things and submit the requested information ASAP, USCIS is usually pretty good about completing the case quickly after that. It really sucks that they've made you wait almost two weeks just to get an RFE... What good does a notification do if you can't act on it?

On the bright side, I believe they have likely already reviewed and processed the entire app/packet before requesting any RFEs, meaning your case is probably done, they just need you to submit whatever it is that they ask for before wrapping it up.

Joe, I am sorry you are going through that. I would have thought you would have got the RFE this past week. If you have to wait until day 15 to contact them maybe ask if you can get some type of extension or something. I have no idea if they would give one give one but cannot hurt to ask since you never received the RFE. Go back and look at the I-129F and G-325A you sent in and make sure you have the correct address. Good luck and I hope you get your RFE on Monday.

:ot:

Rys, sorry to hear that. Is your wife back with you know or back in Peru? Did you have to resubmit a ir-1/cr-1?
