It looks like those of us assigned to the CSC are having interviews for AOS. We did as did almost all VJ filers in Denver had an interview. Relax. Ours went like this: Arrive and check in, get called, go to the IO office, get sworn in. She then talked about the medical and vaccination records and the affidivat of support. Then it was asking Roza all the information of the form while she checked it off with a red pen. Then she said that in two yuears we must file for ROC and we should get the GC in 30 days. 25 minutes total time. Took longer to drive there. Took longer to wait in the waiting room.

So to answer your question: yes an interview appears to be the normal procedure lately and not having an interview is the exception.

Good luck,

Dave

Topic has been moved from General Information to AOS from a family based visa forum.

If your question is about the use of the word 'initial', yes that is normal. Most people who are interviewed only have one interview but there are some situations where USCIS decides to have a second interview, thus the letter states 'initial' interview. It is almost always the 'only' interview.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
