Greetings Everyone!

Yesterday we just received our NOA1 and we were soooo happy. At least we are assured that they received our papers. But we were surprised when it says Vermont when we actually filed it to Texas Service Center. I am in Florida and it is under the jurisdiction of Texas. Why did we receive NOA1 from VT? Please tell me it is alright. Can anybody please explain this? I would like to believe this is normal and there's nothing to worry about.

We will appreciate any feedback. Thanks so much in advance for those who will reply.

EVERYONE sends their papers to Dallas. It is a sorting center.

After Dallas they are sent to either VSC or CSC.

Let me see if I understand this correctly...

The application gets mailed to Texas

and the SC address on the typed pages (Table of Contents, Letter of Intent etc) should be the mailing address of the VSC or CSC (whichever one it will go to eventually)?

Or should the SC address on the typed pages be the Texas address?

well, as far as we are concerned, all the mails are addressed to Texas. Hope it's not an issue. Let's wait and see...

So can anyone say if the USCIS address on the header of documents should be the lockbox Texas address or the regional address (VSC, CSC)?

much ado about nothing... the address as it is not important to the process... it is simply written communication etiquette

YMMV
