Hello everyone...

Just need to let of some steam :(

I just got back once again from Mexico.. to vist with my bf... I am sure everyone goes thru the same thing I am going thru... but its just so difficult for me to say bye. I have been to Mexico to see him now 3 times in 5 months and it seems to be getting more difficult each time. Sometimes I just fee like cutting all my ties because its just so difficult to wait for these papers but my love to him keeps me going.

You guys are all a bit ahead of me because I am not even a citizen of the US and in the process of applying for my dual citizenship.. and now the country where I am from is giving me issues with that.

I feel like just crying every day.... because of all this.......... maybe I should just pack my bags and move to Mex and wait there for papers.......... I need some serious help :help: ..... :help::crying:

DON"T give up, sometimes I think that is the goal of the entire process, to tire us in hopes we abandon it. Keep your chin up, be happy for what you have, a person in your life you love and who loves you, and say a prayer. I feel your pain to some extent, being apart is difficult but think about what will be best for the two of you in the future before you take any course of action. In the end, all will prevail. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

We all know how tough it is. Try not to dwell on the 'goodbyes' but think ahead to the next 'hello'!

You are more fortunate than some. Wow I wish I could see my baby 3 times in 5 months. We live 10,000 miles apart and if we see each other 3 times in a year its a good year.

First of all let me say that I COMPLETELY understand!! It will take nearly three years for my fiance's visa to be approved ..... and for that reason I am VERY seriously condsidering moving to his country, rather than him moving here.

But, having left the US to move to another country previously, let me warn you that it's VERY difficult to re-establish your life in the States. It was nearly impossible to find an apartment, as I had no job .... and it was nearly impossible to find job, as I had no place to live, no telephone number, and no local employment references. Further, most auto insurance companies will charge you a heafty premium upon your return, and for the next three years, as there will have been a lapse in your coverage for as long as you are out of country. Additionally, unless Mexico does DCF, you will still have to come back to the States alone while you re-petition for your fiance's visa (assuming that you will ever want to live in the States together), and you'll need to prove that you can support the two you financially .... which is hard to do without a stable job ...???

I'm not saying don't go ..... I'm just giving you heads-up according to my experience.

Either way, best of luck to you, and considered yourself blessed just to have found each other on this big planet. ;)

6/29 - NEW I-129 mailed to CSC

7/21 - NOA1 issued

9/21 - finally ... my first touch!!

9/21 - NOA2 issued

the country you are from has no say in you becoming a USC. it may revoke your citizenship in your birth country but that's all.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

You know you guys are great ... I really enjoy coming here and read everybody's posts and it gives me alot of hope because we all share the same problem one way or another.

I also think what I am having a hard time is: comments of friends ! That tell me I am stuppid... crazy for going to Mexico so many times.... that my bf is just using me........ and so on. I am really tired of listening to it. I just dont like the fact that they are not supportive and talk all negative. Thats like the last thing I need right now. Right ?

So I actually broke up my friendships with alot of them bye saying goodbye. If they cant be supportive then I dont consider them my friends.. Am i beeing wrong ?

I just have to be positive, plan my next trip south of the border...... and pray alot and things will be fine.

yea but i dont want to loose my german citizenship......

Oasis - don't listen to your friends - listen to your heart! If you have to relocate to Mexico during the waiting time, do it! It's not the easiest thing to do but it is possible, especially since he is there and it will be temporary. If not, it's great that you can visit so often. I've been doing the same thing since last December and while it's hard to say goodbye, it's amazing to be able to have that time together.

Hang in there!

Its been difficult for me but somehow someway I make it happen. I may go back in October or November.
