I have seen a lot of posts where people from Philippines gets denied at their interview because of this. One day they are applying for a K1 visa with one person and in the next few months they are applying for the same visa with someone else. And its not like every single filer of a K-1 visa is a member of this site.. So if we see a lot of cases (on visajourney) like this one getting denied ...u can guess how many the consul sees everyday!!

I aggre with Peter_ "you have to take a look at this issue as an immigration officer would"..

Just try to colect as much evidence as u can...and good luck!!

me 1st petition was 2009 and that was not next few months. it's been 2 years. you think that wasn't enough time waiting?..but i still appreciate your idea:)

You're asking an opinionated question. I think it depends on the CO. If I was the CO, I would not issue a K1 visa to a beneficiary who has applied in the past unless I was 100% sure the relationship was valid, has lasted maany many years, and unquestionably has no inkling of visa fraud anywhere in the information received and gained. I.e. It would be an uphill battle and I would scrutinize a beneficiary who is on the second go round with a fine tooth comb. I would probably deny 8 out of 10 of them.... but then again, I'm not a CO. My advise would be make sure there are no red flags. But asking how long is long enough... IMO only the CO receiving your case can answer that.

It really doesnt matter if someone has waited a few months a few years or many many years to file a K-1 visa again.. you will have to convince the consul that your case in genuine out of all the cases they see everyday just like yours..

If you are posting this asking for advice is because even you know that it can be an issue..

You shouldnt be worrying about it to much, what is done is done.. Look forward

And keep colecting evidence:

phone records, mails, emails, you can also make print shots of your conversations on skype, chat longs, pictures, if you have visited him in the past, pictures of your trip,tickets..etc..Just colect as much evidence as you can to show the consul that your relationship is genuine..

And think that you are not alone in all of this,, many of us have issues and worries about this stressful journey, we are just trying to give you some advice, just be positive and do what is in your hands now to get approved!! Good luck
