Hello everyone,

I wonder if someone can shed some light in my case and possible interview questions. I married my wife this past October and our case is currently at the NVC. I dated my wife since May of 2008 and have known her for longer. She lives in Italy. Our situation is a little different because she was previously married and had submitted a petition as well. However, her ex-husband at the time was a permanent resident (therefore took a longer period of time) and her petition was never reviewed before the choice was made to remove the petition because they were going to divorce. I am assuming that since the petition was never reviewed it should not matter for our current case. Is this correct? She also requested a tourist visa in January of 2009 but was denied because at the time the other petition was still not withdrawn. In addition, we should expect the Interviewing officer to inquire about the previous petition right?

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure they will, everything sounds kind of fishy to them... be ready and prepare your answers

Thanks in advance.

Be prepared to present every shred of evidence in your possession to show that your marriage is genuine. They will be suspicious, thats default with cases like this, thinking she wants another route into the states.

If I remember correctly there was a space on the I-130 form to say if you'd ever started an application for immigration before, so it's going to come out. Be prepared to show lots of proof, I guess.

yeah thats we figured hopefully everything it's gonna be fine , am sure they are intelligent enough to see that we do really love eachother
