It has been 6 months and 12 days since USCIS in California received our I-129F application and we have not heard a single word.

We have Senator Cantwell's office now helping us and hopefully something will happen soon. This is ridiculous. I have visited my

fiance, in Thailand, 9 times in the past 12 months. We submitted a lot of evidence of our relationship, so I don't understand why

we have not received the NOA2 yet.

Many people have gone or are going thru this exact same thing. It a journey which most of the time takes a long time.

In my own case ( 408 ) days, we also didnt hear a single word. This is nothing new.

The problem in your case isnt about your relationship at this point. It is simply that USCIS is busy. The cases you see here on V J are a small percent of the total cases they are processing.

Its great to ask your Senator for help but do not expect them to have any real influence on the situation. Every Congressman & Senator has a staff trained to placate the citizens. These are the same politicians that havent done one thing to reform immigration laws for 60 years. Ask yours to explain exactly what the last action they took to do so. Have them send you their voting record on immigration. There is very little they can do unless there is something seriously wrong with your case. Its too bad its that way but it is. Very few V J members have reported the politicians having any reaj affect on their case. In our own Senator Finestine wouldnt respond. Her staff with 20 years experiance in immigration matters proved to be useless. It took a month to get any info at all & when they did respond they sent it to the wrong address. You will get the same responce. " USCIS is working on your case ".

Evidence of a relationship is not needed for the I-129f and has nothing to do with how quickly it is processed. The current backlog is such that the wait times are extended.
