WOW that is awesome, 2 months! Well congratulations! What happens now is that your file most likely will be sent to NVC (national Visa Center) where again the file will be reviewed prior to being sent to the consulate. You can contact NVC at 603-334-0700 to #1 determine if they have received your file (usually they receive about 5-10 days after you received you I-797 receipt of NOA2 approval in the mail and # 2 request from them your NVC case number as this will be your case number with the consulate as well. After review by NVC the file will then be sent to the consulate. If you have not already begun preparing to gather the paperwork your fiance will need for the interview, I suggest you go online to the website for the U.S consulate in Mexico where your fiance will have their interview and download the instructions for the application process fpr the K-1 visa. This will provide you with instructions on what type of paperwork your fiance will need to send into the consulate/embassy prior to interview and also what information he/she will need to bring with them to the interview. However, if you choose not to do that, you can wait until the file is received by the consulate at which point they would contact you and your fiance and advise you of what documents they are requesting from you. However, it is a lot of work, took me 3 months to gather all the information needed for package # 3, so I would suggest working on that ASAP if you can.

Best of luck to you and again congratulations!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all this!! This was a big help :)

She just found out while on her way to Moscow.

We are all so lucky. so unexpected.

to answer TraCami, I did it myself after lots of research and reading of forums here and anywhere else I could find, Maria did just as much if not more research, so it was a team effort. Sent to Texas and was routed to California.

We will keep you posted as to our progress and what we do when and where.

Thanks for the comments and thanks for the posts that got us to this point!

I also did research on my own. I just hope I did everything correct on the first shot...

This is a GREAT reference site, I wish I found it sooner. I also love hearing everyone's stories. :-)

Good luck to you ALL!!Here's wishing we all have the same luck with the quick turnarounds.
